Our classes are a different type of interactive learning environment where you can go deeper into your study of God and his word. You can ask questions, wrestle with ideas, and learn and grow with others. Our classes run for 12 weeks, so that also means you can really dig into a topic or book of the Bible in more depth and detail. Our classes are also a great place to meet and connect with other believers and be encouraged by their shared stories and insights.

  • Questions about current and upcoming class offerings - please contact our deacon over education, Shawn White.

24-Hours of Prayer

24-Hours of Prayer

  • Canyon Church of Christ (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Since the very beginning when Canyon church was first being planted (2003), prayer has always been an essential part of who we are. We’ve held several prayer vigils over the years, especially during crucial moments in the life of our church family.

In 2012 before we moved into our buildings, we spent 24-hours in prayer over the work that would take place at this location.  That started an annual tradition and here we are in 2025, getting ready to dedicate another 24-hours to prayer.

With this focused event, we greet the new year by focusing on God, and bringing our praises and our concerns to Him in prayer. We do this because prayer keeps us centered on God’s will (1 John 5:14-15) and because God hears us when we pray (Psalm 66:18-20).

This year’s 24-hours of prayer event will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, Jan. 17 in our worship center and continues until 5:00 PM Saturday, Jan. 18.

  • To commit to praying for a one hour block of time, please see the sign-up sheets available in our worship center.

  • If you have any questions, please contact our deacon over prayer, Phil Hatler.

Ladies' Class - Find Your People

  • Canyon Church of Christ (map)

Ladies - are you lonely? Wish you had a strong supportive group of friends? You’re not alone! Join in with Kristine Jenkins as you uncover the true meaning of community. She will be leading a new 7-week topical study called Find Your People using video teachings and curriculum by Jennie Allen. The class will meet on Sundays at 9:30 AM in Room 407 in our Education Building. Watch a short trailer for the class below and read on for a more detailed description of the topics that will be covered.

Never in the history of civilization have we been more connected and felt more alone. We are all so lonely. What if the ways we have set up our lives are fundamentally broken?

In the Find Your People video Bible study, bestselling author Jennie Allen looks at the original community in Genesis, the Trinity, and the creation of people to see what God had planned for us all along. Jennie offers practical solutions for creating true community in a world that's both more connected and more isolating than ever before.

Drawing on fascinating insights from science and history, timeless biblical truth, and vulnerable stories from her own life, Jennie helps us discover exactly how to dive into the deep end and experience the full wonder of community. Along the way, we’ll discover the five life patterns required to build deep, connected relationships.

You were created to play, engage, adventure, and explore—with others. Because while the ache of loneliness is real, it doesn’t have to be your reality.
