Beginning Saturday, June 7 at 5:30PM, Robert and Ann Miller will host a summer Connection Group gathering in their home. This group is open to all ages and they will be studying the letters to the Thessalonians, verse by verse.

On Sunday, May 18, during our morning worship service, we will have a special time of recognition and take a few moments to pray over Canyon’s graduating high school senior, Cole N. There will be a table set up in the auditorium with photos of the graduate and a basket if you’d like to drop off a handwritten card or letter of blessing. We hope you can join us for this special time for our church family.

This summer, we invite you to join us for a Children’s Movie Night, held once a month for free at Canyon Church in our auditorium (Building 2). Popcorn and water will be provided. Children may bring other snacks if desired.

Our movie for May will be the animated film Mulan (1998) and will be held on Friday, May 16 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. This film is rated G. Click here to read a parent guide about the film.

The ladies of Canyon church will be hosting a Baby Shower for Kali H. on Saturday, May 10 at 3:00 PM in the auditorium (Bldg. 2). Join us for a fun taco bar and good conversation as we celebrate the upcoming arrival of Kali’s little girl, Rivah. (Rain is going to be a big sister!)

• Adults - Christianity 101, led by Robert Miller in Room 406. This is a great introductory class for new Christians or for those who have questions about our core beliefs.

Maybe you’re wondering why we offer Bible classes, when we already learn about God through our weekly sermons. Our classes are a different type of interactive learning environment where you can go deeper into your study of God and his word. You can ask questions, wrestle with ideas, and learn and grow with others. Our classes run for 12 weeks, so that also means you can really dig into a topic or book of the Bible in more depth and detail. Our classes are also a great place to meet and connect with other believers and be encouraged by their shared stories and insights.

Canyon Church of Christ is pleased to announce we will be the host location for Ignite Homeschool’s North Valley campus serving their K-12 students. Ignite is getting ready to launch their 2025/2026 school year, and will be having an Interest Night open house at Canyon Church on Tuesday, March 25 starting at 6:30 PM. You will be able to learn more about who they are, what they do, and the heart of Ignite. You will also have an opportunity to meet their tutors and team, get a sneak peek of class schedules, programs, and events they will be offering, and learn about all the ways you can get involved. On Saturday, March 22, Canyon's Children's Ministry will gather at the Anthem Community Park for some outdoor fun and friendship. Pack your favorite lunch and join us for a picnic and games in the beautiful outdoors. Please contact our Children’s Minister, Emma Milam, with any questions.

Dr. Tackett will be here in person, presenting his most recent Biblical worldview teaching to help us gain insight into the times in which we find ourselves, and to understand how the people of God should respond. The cost is $20 for individuals, $30 for couples, or $5 for students.

Junior High and High School students are invited to join us on an area-wide Instagram Scavenger Hunt! Join in a friendly competition with teams of other youth groups from Churches of Christ across the valley. Take photos, use hashtags, and help your youth group’s team win a PRIZE!

Families are invited to join us on the Dragonfly Trail for an easy nature hike and fun scavenger hunt on Saturday, Jan. 11. Meet us at the trailhead at 8:30 AM. The Dragonfly Trail is a 1.8-mile loop hike located near Cave Creek, about 13 miles northeast of Canyon Church. This easy, yet beautiful trail is perfect for all ages with plenty of local wildlife (birds, dragonflies, and butterflies), two small creek crossings, towering cottonwood trees, and a kid-sized cave in the rocks.
