Market on the Move (M.O.M.) is a food rescue program of The 3000 Club, rescuing produce that would otherwise be thrown away and transports it to volunteer distribution sites. Canyon church of Christ is excited to have been accepted as a distribution site where the general public is invited to receive up to 60 pounds of fresh seasonal produce for a donation of $10 (donation goes toward the cost of transportation).
Market on the Move expects to have enough fresh fruits and vegetables for 300 families (60 pounds per family) on each distribution date. Available produce varies from month to month. There is no advanced purchase required, just stop by on distribution day and look for the white tents at the front parking lot facing North Valley Parkway. It's set up like a farmer's market; you just walk through and pick and choose what you want. Take as much or as little as you need. It's really that easy. Please visit our online calendar to see when the next distribution day is scheduled (usually it is the 3rd Saturday of the month, from October through May). We can't wait to see you! And please pass the word on to your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. This is to be a blessing for any and all who wish to partake.
Steve Huffman coordinates our M.O.M. efforts and always appreciates the great turn out of volunteers each month. Please contact him with any questions or to volunteer. We also invite you to click on the video to see first-hand what a Market on the Move event is like.
